Hon. Abbas Tajudeen initiative ICT/Skills Acquisition Centre, Tudun Wada, Zaria has graduated 1,444 students at its fourth graduation ceremony at the weekend.
Speaking at the ceremony, member representing Zaria Federal Constituency, Hon. Abbas Tajudeen said that the centre was initiated to address the joblessness and idleness among women and youth in his constituency.
Tajudeen who is the Iyan Zazzau, maintained that no society can develop without engaging its women and youth into different trades as a means of sustaining themselves instead of waiting for white colour jobs.
The Honourable member said more skills acquisition centres at Lemu in Zaria City and Gyallesu in Tudun Wada will soon take off.
He assured his constituents that in 2023, two additional trades will be introduced and more projects that will touch their lives will come.
Hon. Abbas Tajudeen commended the Director of the Centre, Malam Buhari Musa for his doggedness in maintaining the standard in terms of training and discipline, which keeps the center in high spirits.
Among the projects to be commissioned very soon are three libraries located at Tukur Tukur, Gyallesu and Lemu in Zaria City.
Earlier, the Director of the ventre, Mal. Buhari Musa said they have trained over 28.000 women and youth in 24 different skills.
He said, all the success recorded by the Centre is as a result of the support and commitment Hon. Abbas Tajudeen the Iyan Zazzau has put in place .
Buhari Musa said the centre since inception, has trained over 28.000 students on different skills.
He said within the next two weeks, another 15,954 women and youth will commence training programmes at the center.
The director called on the electorate in Zaria Federal Constituency to vote wisely and ensure the return of Hon. Abbas Tajudeen as their representative and hopefully, Speaker in the 10th Assembly.
