Abandoned Gindiri Water Treatment Plant To Be Reactivated Soon

Member representing the  people of Mangu/Bokkos Federal Constituency in the lower Chamber,  

Honiurable Ishaya David  Lalu on Tuesday, visited the Hon. Minister Of Water Resources Prof. Joseph Utsev in Abuja. 
In ensuring the prompt review and commencement of Gindiri water treatment plant project site in Mangu LGA.
 This visit follows his earlier inspection of the water treatment plant less than a month, where he vowed to employ all possible means to reactivate and see that the project is completed.
Hon. Lalu noted that the visit aimed to express gratitude to the president for appointing competent hands in his cabinet where the Hon. Minister  is not an exception and to formally congratulate him on his well deserved appointment and the good work he was doing.
In his response, the Hon. Minister Prof. Joseph Utsev has assured Hon. Lalu that President Tinubu promised to complete any abandoned projects that has a direct impacts to better the lives of every citizens in Nigeria and beyond.
The visit Prof. Joseph Utsev explained, was  sequel to the decisions at the last Federal Executive Council Meeting (FEC) where the need to provide potable drinking water was harped on to cushion the current water scarcity and hardship.
According to the minister, as I leave here now, we are going to bring in all the stakeholders to discuss the way forward.
 The Federal Government would not just reactivate the water plant, we will bring in people who have the strength and commitment to partner with us to bring back the water treatment plant back to life.
”The advantages to be derived when the Gindiri water treatment plant is completed includes portable drinking water and employment generation. 
It will also address water borne diseases and youth restiveness ” he added.
