The Akwa Ibom State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), has extended condolences to the state governor, Pastor Umo Eno and his family over the demise of the First Lady, late Mrs. Patience Umo Eno .
In a condolence message signed by the State Chairman and Secretary, Comrades Amos Etuk and Dominic Akpan respectively, the union described the late Mrs Patience Umo Eno as an extraordinary woman who touched countless lives through her pet project, Golden Initiative For All (GIFA).
The union also noted her as a devout Christian who worked with selfless commitment in God’s vineyard.

While appreciating God for the Christ-like life that Mrs. Eno led, the Union assured the Governor and his family of its prayers in their grief.
The union prayed to the Almighty God to strengthen the Governor to bear the immense loss, and grant the deceased eternal repose of her soul.
In the same regard, Senator Ita Enang, the former Special Adviser to former president Muhammadu Buhari has described the death of Mrs. Patience Umo Eno as ‘devastating and a great loss to the family.’
Enang in a condolence message to Governor Umo Eno through in his Special Adviser on Media, Mr UduakAbasi Ikpat, on Friday, prayed to God to comfort the Governor and the family over the irreparable loss and urged them to be consoled by her enduring legacy of good deeds.
Sen. Enang also commiserated with the government and people of Akwa Ibom State over the sad incident, prayed for the soul of the deceased to have eternal rest.
It would be recalled that the State First Lady, Mrs. Patience Umo Eno died on Thursday in the hospital after a brief illness.
Her sudden demise has cause a huge pain and loss to many people in the state, who either directly or indirectly have come close to her during the lifetime.
Again, her quality lifestyle and ways of touching lives of the people, especially the vulnerable group in the state through her pet project GIFA, would ever remain indelible on the sand if time. Many have said.
