*asks students to continue attending lectures, other academic activities

Authorities of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, on Monday announced indefinite postponement of the Institution’s 2021/2022 Matriculation ceremony.
OAU authorities in a statement made, available to journalists by the University’s Public Relations Officer, (PRO), Abiodun Olarewaju stated that the matriculation ceremony ” earlier scheduled for Wednesday, 9th March, 2022″ has been postponed “until further notice.”
According to the University’s Director, Academic Affairs, Mr. Murtala Agbaje, the new day and date will be communicated to the general public, especially to those concerned in due course.
” The University Management has decided to postpone the Matriculation ceremony in the interest of all. We, therefore, apologise for any inconvenience this postponement might have caused.”, he said
Mr Agbaje added, ” students are, hereby, advised to continue attending their lectures and other academic activities”.
