Igboho Released From Prison On Medical Grounds – Counsel

The lead Counsel to the Yoruba nation agitator, Chief  Sunday Adeyemo, Ighoho, Chief Yomi Alliyu (SAN) has disclosed that his client was only released from prison to his medical practitioners in Cotonou.
Chief Alliyu (SAN) in a chat with the New Nigerian on Monday stated that the Yoruba nation agitator was only released under the agreement that he should not leave the medical centre or Cotonou for any reason.
The lead Counsel to Chief Adeyemo emphasized that Igboho release from Prison to his medical practitioners was at the instance of two prominent Yoruba personalities to wit Prof Wole Soyinka and Prof Akintoye .
” Praises should be given to two prominent Yoruba personalities to wit Prof Wole Soyinka and Prof Akintoye for this turn around in our client’s matter,” Alliyu said.
Earlier in the day, the Yoruba Self-Determination Groups, Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide in a statement  by  its spokesperson, Mr. Maxwell Adeleye announced the release of Chief Sunday Adeyemo Igboho from Cotonou prison
Part of the statement reads ” Yoruba Nation Activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, fondly called Sunday Ighoho, has been released by the Government of Republic of Benin. 
The Activist was released on Monday to a Yoruba Leader and Leader of the Umbrella body of Yoruba Self-determination Groups, Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide, Professor Banji Akintoye and a French Language Expert/ Deputy Alana of Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide, Professor Wale Adeniran.
