Kebbi State government said it has recovered about thirty two billion naira from March to December, 2016 from three hundred and five accounts in the states MDAs.
According to the analysis, there were seven hundred and ninety eight accounts out of which forty five were dormant accounts holding negative imbalances and three hundred and five accounts holds the sum of 47,774,937.42, while all four hundred and forty eight active accounts have a total of 32,016,995,678.00 respectively.
This was made known at weekend by the Permanent secretary Ministry of Finance, Shu’aibu D. Abdullahi at a 3-day sensitization workshop on Treasury Single Acount TSA held at Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic Birnin Kebbi in Kebbi state.
Shu’aibu Abdullahi further explained that government decided to implement TSA in the state following its impact at the federal level and bowed that nothing would stop present administration under the able leadership of Governor Abubakar Bagudu from continues implementing the laudable economic program me.
”When we implemented it for the first time and not satisfied with amount we required, we then implemented again with a new methods that’s why we recovered this amount of thirty two billion” he added.
He called on the head of ministries, departments and agencies to comply with implementation of the scheme by the present administration of the state.
