The long awaited 7th Edition of the Kaduna State Sports Festival is scheduled to now take place from Tuesday 8 to Saturday 12, November, 2022.
The Director of Sports Development, Alhaji Ibrahim Yakubu who made the disclosure, said that athletes from the 23 Local Government Councils (LGCs) will compete in 15 sports based on the entries from each local government area.
The 15 sports to be completed in are, football, volleyball, basketball, handball, athletics, chess, badminton, squash, table tennis, beach volleyball, kokawa, dambe, karate, boxing and scrabble.
The director further disclosed that so far, all necessary arrangements have been put in place for a hitch free festival, which he said, may also be producing athletes that will represent the state at the forthcoming National Sports Festival (NSF), scheduled to hold in Asaba, Delta State from November 28.
He expressed the commitment of the sports ministry to giving opportunities to athletes to develop themselves and showcase their various talents during the week long festival.
