The people of Daura Emirate Council, President Muhammadu Buhari’s home town in Katsina State North-West Nigeria, have praised the federal government and China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) over the progress being made on the ongoing 32 kilometers Daura-Mai Adua Road.
The residents expressed appreciation to the Chinese company for handling quality road projects which will help the people of the area.
The residents also commended President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration for awarding the project to a competent company.
It would be recalled that the Federal Executive Council (FEC) awarded the construction of 32 kilometers Road from Daura Town to Mai Adua local government to CCECC.
In an interview with journalists, the residents expressed satisfaction with the level and quality of work done by the Chinese company handling the project, saying the company has done excellently well.
The chairman Daura Youth Consultative Forum, Musa Zubairu, thanked president Muhammadu Buhari Administration for awarding the project, saying the road will boost socio-economic activities in the area.
Musa Zubairu urged the people of Daura Emirate to continue supporting the efforts of the federal and the Katsina State governments towards achieving their goals on executing meaningful projects that touch the lives of the people.
Malam Aliyu Daura, a resident of Daura Town, said, “For over 10 years, we were looking forward to the road construction, it has now become a reality in the President Buhari’s government.”
Alhaji Musa Kalla an APC chieftain in Katsina State explained that, “As you can see, work is in progress, with what we’re seeing now, the contractor is doing his best by ensuring a quality job”.
According to Mr. Sun, the Project Manager of CCECC, he vowed to construct a very quality road project that will last long which the people of the area will benefit immensely from.
