Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has approved the appointment of Honourable Awwal D. Tukur as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), and Dr Edgar Amos as Chief of Staff Government House.
New Nigerian reports that Tukur was a former member of the House of Representatives and served as the Director General of the Adamawa Presidential and Gubernatorial Campaign Council in the 2023 elections, Amos on the other hand, was the the Head of Service.
Following the appointment of Amos, Shehu Isa Ardo who is the most senior civil servant in the state will take over as the new Head of Service.
The appointments take immediate effect.
Our correspondent reports that this is the second appointment made by the Fresh Air Governor, after his inauguration for another four-year term.
It would be recalled that Fintiri shortly after his inauguration, announced the appointment of Humwashi Wonosikou as Chief Press Secretary to the governor, being his first appointment after coming back to office for his second term.
