The Speaker Kaduna State House of Assembly and Chairman Northern Speakers Forum, Rt. Hon Yusuf Ibrahim Zailani has tasked leaders and stakeholders of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Afaka to stay united, saying a united party is the one to beat in the 2023 general elections.
This was contained in a statement signed by his SA Media and Publicity, Honourable Ibrahim Dahiru Danfulani and made available to the press on October 29, 2023.
Zailani was represented by his Senior Special Adviser Political, Honourable Samaila Shuaibu Sabon Birni at the venue of the meeting in Afaka Ward, where he met APC Ward Chairman and members.
He said once the party is united, it would be easier to win the elections in 2023.
He urged members of the APC in the ward to shun all divisive tendencies and ensure victory for the party in the 2023 general elections.
He told party members that winning the election in 2023 is a must to save the nation from what he described as “the Capitalist party PDP”.
In his response, the APC Chairman Afaka Ward, Auwal Adamu, popularly known as Ganduje said Afaka APC is one family, and promised to deliver all the 45 polling units in the ward for APC
The chairman set up various committees for consultation to reconcile aggrieved party members, and decampees into the party.
The meeting had in attendance, the APC State Zonal Youth Leader, Hon Ishaq Audu, Igabi Local Government APC Treasurer, Malam Umar Osama, key party stakeholders in the ward and of other dignitaries.
