As the general election draws near,  Fulani communities in the country have been called upon to use their numerous strenght to vote a president that will change their political fortunes and improve their well-being.

Leader of the Fulani community,  Alhaji Saidu Maikano made this known while speaking to our correspondent in Jos.

He charged  the Fulani communities to set aside differences and cast their votes  to a particular candidate who can change their fortunes and reduce the sufferings experienced in all the states of the federation.

He said,  “although the Fulani communities in the country have already decided on a particular candidate to vote,  “there is an urgent need to call on our people to team up together so that we can use our advantage in democracy.”

He said the Fulani Communities in the country have about  three million votes  and he wants them  to go for a particular candidate in order to make an impact.

According to him. their communities in the country have never suffered or being killed as experience in the last eight years of this administration.

He further observed that it’s unfortunate that Fulani that provide beef and milk for the development of the country have been neglected and subjected to series of hardship in all parts of the country.

According to him, “there is a need for Christians and Muslims in this country to come together irrespective of their differences for the betterment of our democracy.

“No Christian or Muslim that can survive in Nigeria without each other, so we should not allow politics to divide us”.

He advised the political class not to use religion to divide the electorate, stressing that Nigerians  are one people despite their religious differences.

Speaking on the face-off between the G-5 governors and the presidential aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party  (PDP),  he called on them to put their differences aside for the interest of the party.

He expressed optimism that the G-5 governors will not affect the chances of the candidates of the party, despite their political standing.
