A group under the auspices of Federation of Northern Organization (FNO), has called on the former President, Pharmaceutical Society Of Nigeria (PSN), Mr Mazi Samuel Iheanyichukwu Ohuabunwa, to contest for the presidency in the 2023 general elections in the country. The group in a statement issued by its spokesman, Abdullahi Abdullahi, said, “On account of justice and National Cohesion, it is very important that the PDP Zone there Presidential Candidates to South East, and a professional, Academicians and a seasonal administration should spear head the PDP Presidential tickets. Mazi Samuel Iheanyichukwu Ohuabunwa OFR should be considered for such privilege. According to the statement, it is long overdue for the people of South East to be given the opportunity of the presidency in 2023.
The statement noted that the leadership of Northern youth are very much aware of the decision and politicking of the opposition party to aloud the Northern Nigeria produce the next Presidential candidate.
The group opined, “It is totally unjust and inhuman on the people of South Eastern Nigeria not to be considered for presidency by other parts of the country in the coming general elections in the country.”
The group added, “We speak on the authority of one Nigeria that equity, justice must privail to aid National Unity in our country.”
