Kaduna State All Progressives Congress (APC) Women Leader, Hajiya Maryam Suleiman has concluded arrangements to host all candidates contesting elective positions under the ruling party to a parley.
According to a statement from the office of the Women Leader, fondly called Mairusau by her admirers, the parley would provide an opportunity for women to ask candidates wishing to be elected under the platform of APC their developmental plans, particularly for the female.
The statement further added that the interface between women and APC flag bearers would include governorship, Senatorial, State and Federal Legislative Candidates, to be hosted in Arewa House on November 17, 2022.
” We are inviting all women, particularly our party members to avail themselves the rare opportunity to interact with Candidates wishing to be learners and representatives of the people in the forthcoming general election of 2023.
” The women know exactly what they want from their would be leaders in areas of human development, economic and political empowerment, education and health insurance and many other sectors.
” The candidates should be able to tell us their blueprints for achieving these goals and objectives and We in turn will point areas of priorities for our people.
” I must mention here that Governor Nasir el-Rufai has set a bar in governance in Kaduna State, especially in area of Women inclusion in appointment and empowerment.
” I am optimistic his successor, Senator Uba Sani, our next Governor (insha Allah) will build and raise the bar further, considering his excellent antecedents in public service.
” I urge our women to be present at the event so they could present their case themselves to these candidates, “she urged.
