Presidential candidate of the labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi, has said that his administration will stop economic wastage and recoup loss monies if elected president in the forthcoming February 25th presidential election.

Peter Obi gave the promise on Saturday, during his visit to Southern Kaduna, where he said, his government will genuinely fight corruption, using the same method he used while a two-term Governor of Anambra state.

Obi, accompanied by a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, (SSG) Babachir Lawal and former Finance Minister, Nenadi Usman, said neither himself nor his Vice presidential candidate, Datti Ahmed have any trace of corruption.

While reiterating that his administration will prioritize alleviating suffering Nigerians, he added that he will improve the security architecture, where everybody will sleep with their two eyes closed.

While at the Palace of the Chief of Kagoro with other Southern Kaduna prominent chiefs in attendance, Obi commiserated with the good people of Southern Kaduna over the unwarranted killings and prayed God to end further reoccurrence.

He assured however, that with him at the hems of affairs as the President of Nigeria, he will bring to a permanent end all forms of insecurity not only in Southern Kaduna, but Nigeria as a whole.

He therefore, solicited for the support, prayers and votes from the good people of Southern Kaduna and further assured them that he would  never let them down if elected president.

In a similar visit to the Throne-Room,  he met with religious leaders shortly after commissioning the Engineer Mike Auta’s campaign office for Senate, he reiterated that there is no way the country can create jobs when the nation is not producing anything.

He assured the clerics that he is not contesting as a Christian nor as an Igbo man, but as a proud Nigerian with passion to bring about the birth of a new Nigeria, moving the country from consumption to a production country.

He called on the good people of Nigeria to de-emphasize politics of religion, tribe, ethnicity and every other forms of sentiment and vote for credible and competent leadership; people of proven integrity in the forthcoming February 25th general election.

“As a country, we can’t afford to miss it this time around because if we do, it will spell doom for Nigeria.” Obi stressed.

Engineer Mike Ayuba Auta, who is  the Labour Party senatorial candidate for Southern Kaduna, expressed that the government of Labour Party will give the people of Southern Kaduna and Nigeria at large better means of livelihood, urging them to vote massively for LP in the forthcoming general elections.

In their responses, the Oegwan Oegworok, Chief of  Kagoro, Dr. Ufuwai Bonet, who spoke on behalf of all the prominent chiefs in Southern Kaduna, assured that as traditional rulers, they will pray for all candidates for God to give Nigerians all the best, stressing that they have no political parties, but will vote their conscience for credible candidates.

In like manner, the founder of Throne-Room and Christian Leaders Association in Southern Kaduna, Bishop Emmanuel Kure, expressed gratitude for the visit, adding that there is already a standing law in Southern Kaduna not to vote for any candidate seeking power without recognizing them.

He added that Obi’s coming is a fulfilment of that prophecy, noting that Southern Kaduna people listen to their direction and whoever they endorse, the people will follow.

In the same vein, the Chief Imam in Southern Kaduna, Alh. Muhammed Kasim, disclosed that Christians and Muslims have resolved to live peacefully and defend themselves against their common enemy.

Kasim stressed that votes in Southern Kaduna will not be divided between political parties rather, they will decide and unanimously give their votes to a candidate that cares about them.
