It has been observed that the only panacea to the country’s socio- economic problems is for electorate to cast their votes for competent and purposeful leadership in all positions in 2023.
This advise was the submission of a new political umbrella of, Jigawa Renaissance Group under the leadership of Mohammed Mash.
The group was speaking  from a statement titled,  “The Unending Growth of Poverty, hunger, insecurity, who to blame” made available to our correspondent in Dutse on Sunday January 16, 2022.
According to the group, these  variables could only be wiped out through flushing out inexperienced leadership from “rotten politicians” on whose concern is  their personal riches and care, not in projecting the interests of the common man, as they are less concerned about the plight of Nigerians.
The statement further said that men of integrity,  irrespective of political party affiliation should be supported and voted into power in the  2023 general elections to replace the ones on ground for the country to move forward.
The group  advised as cutting down the huge running cost of political appointees and cost of governance at all levels to ensure the dividends of democracy for the electorate.
“It is about time  well meaning Nigerians  rethink and preserve our future and that of our country from bondage of collapse in the hands of mischief, greed, and unpatriotic citizens, whose concern is not to project our collective interests, rather than themselves and their families,”  they said.
They added, “Furthermore, the new government to be formed should cut down cost of running democracy to avoid unnecessary borrowing to reduce burden in payment, likewise let political appointees be trimmed down to avoid duplication,” they added.
The group similarly advised the incoming National Assembly to either trim to single or place on part time sitting procedures of legislative session to minimise cost.
On the deplorable security challenges bedeviling the country, the group advocated for overhauling of  security apparatus in meeting the country’s expectations for effective  network.
They also advised the incoming leadership of the country to place premium on industrialization in boosting  internally generated revenue, lowering exchange rate and to allow for gainful employment, stressing that the task is enormous on them in closing the ranks to work hard in preserving the corporate existence of Nigeria and not allowing it to disintegrate.
