The Most Rev. (Dr) Ali Buba Lamido of Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion, Wusasa Diocese Zaria, has warned Nigerians not to elect politicians without good manifestos that will bring succour to them in the forth coming general elections.
Lamido gave the warning in his Christmas message to Nigerians, saying that a lot of lies have been told in the past and it is time the electorate rethink and make no mistakes in electing leaders in 2023.
He also warned those trying to use tribalism, religious differences and other means to distract the election to stop, as God will not allow them to succeed.
Rev. Lamido used the occasion to call on the Federal Government to make sure that issues of banditry, kidnapping, terrorism and other criminal activities become history by eliminating them completely.
In a related development, the Bishop, First Baptist Church, Rev. Isaac Gbadero has appealed to Nigerians to unite and bring the nation back to peaceful coexistence, irrespective of any inclination.
Rev. Gbadero lamented how some politicians stock money in their homes, leaving the general people around them in hunger and poverty.
He said God will see Nigeria through after the general elections and it will be very successful and peaceful.
