As the 2023 election campaigns take center stage, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has  reviewed indelible footprints of his government within its over three years, that have made basic education in the state absolutely free in order to boost and lift the quality of education in the state and has made it possible for citizens of the state to seat for WAEC and NECO at no cost at all to families.

Fintiri made this know when he took  his re-election bid to the rural communities of Malabu, Wuro Bokki and Pariya in Fufore Local Government Area and Vunoklang Community in Girei Local Government Area of Adamawa state at the weekend.

According to him, it is time  Nigerians across the country vote into power selfless leaders committed to uplifting and reviving the standard of living of the common man and the economic fortunes of the country.

He said, Atiku Abubakar has the competence, capacity and experience to bring about rapid development and to reverse the downward slope in the fortunes of the country that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has cornered the country into.

He maintained that right from the onset, the intent of his government is to implement a specifically tailored agenda to better the life of the people of the state and that agenda has been attained and that his second term in office will be an impactful extension of the good works he has started across the state.

During the campaign at Malabu and Pariya, Gov. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri said, the 16km water reticulation project from Wuro Bokki to Malabu in Fufore Local Government Area, has been completed in collaboration with the European Union and that it would soon be commissioned.

Fintiri who was greeted to a rousing welcome by a mammoth crowd of party faithful, said his administration has already demonstrated a strong commitment to service delivery and to the welfare of the people of Adamawa State and that he is fully committed to revamping the fortunes of the people of the state in the coming years, when re-elected.

“All attempts to draw the attention of the federal government to construct the federal road passing through Malabu and Belel has fallen on deaf ears, but I am optimistic that with Atiku as the son of the soil, Nigerians will enjoy rapid development and the road would be reconstructed.

“The Adamawa project that I am embarking on is not about PDP or any other party, but about implementing projects that have direct bearing on the lives of the common man in the state.

“Let us come together, it is important that we come together, push aside bad governance and the party that represents it for the interest of our people and for the development of our dear state.

“My administration has among other things, revitalized education and agricultural sectors, we have also invested in the development of youth and women in Adamawa.

“As everyone can testify now, education in Adamawa is free. We have initiated the payment of WAEC and NECO exams fees for our students and we have also revived the scholarship allowances to our students at various tertiary institutions and also renovated schools across the state as a reflection of our endeavour to give our people hope and secure a better future for posterity.

“My administration has already rehabilitated 80 schools among other projects in  Fufore Local Government Area alone and will soon commence work on the Mai Turare-Pariya, Daware and Bagale roads.”

Speaking at the occasion, the running mate to the governor, Prof Kaletapwa Farauta said, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri is a strong believer in women’s competence and has devoted his time in office to fostering women’s progress in the state.

“Those of you that are yet to collect your voters cards should do so, so that we can retain power of this PDP people-centered government that has created a legacy of progress and youth development.

“This is the best government that Adamawa State has had so far, we must use our voters card to extend this good governance, development and to secure the future of our children.”

The State Chairman of PDP, Tahir Shehu after receiving about 800 decampees from the All Progressives Congress (APC) tasked the residents of Fufore and Girei local government areas to massively vote for PDP and its candidate at all levels in order to sustain the outstanding quality of good governance  brought about by  Fintiri and the PDP in the state.

An elder statesman and former state chairman of the party, Chief Joel Madaki speaking on behalf of the members of the Fufore communities, praised the outstanding leadership quality of the governor and challenged all stakeholders at the event to reject bad governance as exemplified by the APC at the center and at various place within the country.

He noted that Governor Fintiri has brought an all-round development to the state and that the people of Fufore and Girei are committed to delivering  block votes in massive endorsement of good governance of the PDP in the state.

New Nigerian reports that Governor Fintiri had earlier taken his campaign tour to Mubi, Numan, Mayo Belwa, among other parts of the state, where he promised to continue his people-oriented projects and transforming the state into one of the most respected local economies in the country.
