2023: Atiku Assures Ekiti People On Fixing Bad Roads, Empowering Women

The Presidential Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar raised the hopes of Ekiti people on making their deplorable roads linking neighbouring states motorable if elected come February 25 polls.

Atiku made the promise on Tuesday at the Presidential campaign rally organised by the party held at the famous Ekiti Parapo Pavilion in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital.

“We will make Ekiti people happy by reconstructing their neglected deplorable roads when we get to office, God willing.

“We shall empower women by giving them loans in order to make them self reliant on their own,” he promised.

The PDP Presidential Candidate however,  told the party members who thronged the campaign rally venue that the party’s leadership would reshape the Ekiti PDP saying, “Ekiti cannot continue to be in the hands of individuals”.

However, the campaign rally was attended by some notable PDP stalwarts across the country,to include his Vice Presidential candidate and the Governor of Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, former Vice President, Achithect Namadi Daabo, Governor Udom Emmanuel of Always Iron State, Senator Dino Melaye,Senator Biodun Olujimi, among others.

While in his remarks, the PDP National Chairman, Dr. Iyochia Ayu lauded the People’s of Ekiti State for their strong determination to have witnessed the rally and disappointed the ruing All Progressives Party(APC).

Also, the Vice Presidential candidate of the PDP, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa thanked Ekiti People for their steadfastness and the youths for hearing efforts at rescuing the nation adding that it was as a result of bad governance which he said created unemployment market that prompted their exiting the country in droves.

Meanwhile, the former Governor of the State, Mr. Ayo Fayose alongside some of the Party’s Candidates in the coming elections across the State were not at the campaign rally venue.
