The Court of Appeal, Abuja Division, has reinstated Architect Shehu Ahmad Tukur as the senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Nasarawa West District in the 2023 general elections.
In a unanimous decision, the three-man panel, led by Justice Biobele Abraham Georgewill, set aside the judgment of the trial court and ruled against Barrister Labaran Shuaibu Magaji.
The Federal High Court had on December 2, annulled the primary election that produced Tukur as candidate over gross irregularities and ordered the ruling APC to conduct fresh exercise within 14-day.
However, on Monday, the judgment of the High Court presided over by Justice Nehizena Idemudia-Afolabi was overruled by the Appeal Court.
