2 Siblings, Others Nabbed Over Alleged Cable Vandalisation In Lagos

Five suspects are now in the net of the police in Lagos over alleged vandalisation of electricity cable board.

The suspects were said to have been arrested by police operatives attached to Alausa Division while dismantling the cable mounted around 7up Bottling Company in Alausa area of the state.

Identified as Athanisus Lornumbe 28, Felix Lornumbe, 27, Ukah Gabriel, 29, Emmanuel Ajikula, 29 and Titus Akuha, according to report were arrested in the act on Monday, April 24, 2023 following credible intelligence.

The Lagos State Police Command spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin, who made the disclosure in a release said the suspects have been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation and prosecution.

It reads,  “Operatives of Alausa Division of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested five suspects for vandalizing Lagos State Electricity Board cables mounted around 7-Up Bottling Company, Alausa area of Lagos State. 

” Ukah Gabriel ‘m’ aged 29, Emmanuel Ajikula ‘m’ aged 29, Athanisus Lornumbe ‘m’ aged 28, Titus Akuha ‘m’ aged 18 and Felix Lornumbe ‘m’ aged 27 were arrested in the act on Monday, April 24, 2023 following receipt of credible intelligence on the suspicious movement of some hoodlums in the area. Tools and vandalized cables were recovered from the suspects. 

” The suspects have been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation and prosecution”.
