*In Police net with his mother

A 16 years old boy is now in Police net in Tede, Atisbo Local Government Area of Oyo State for allegedly killing his father, identified as Jimoh Adeagbo, said to be a worker with the local government area.
The 16 years old boy, identified as Ismaila was reported to have hit his late father on the head with an object on Thursday, April 20, in his room.
It was learnt that Ismaila after killing his father, reportedly took his motorcycle to be moving around to his father’s relatives informing them of his father’s sudden death.
Sources said Ismaila immediately after informing some members of the family, including his grand father, reportedly informed his mother of the incident and she allegedly advised him to hide under her bed for some time.
The family members on arriving Jimoh’s place, suspected a foul play and immediately reported the matter to the Police Area Command in Tede.
Sources said men of the Oyo State Police Command on arrival, sighted the object with which Ismaila reportedly hit his late father with blood stains and commenced hunting of the boy.
It was gathered that the Police arrested the boy’s mother after which the boy was fished out by the policemen from under his mother’s bed.
The suspect and his mother were later taken to the Tede Police Area Command station where the 16 years old boy was said to have confessed to killing his father.
Sources said the boy reportedly confessed to be a member of a secret cult gang known as Alora and that it was members of the cult group that mandated him to kill his father that day or be killed the following day.
It was gathered that as at the time of sending this report, Ismaila and his mother are still in Police net in Tede.
Contacted, Oyo state Police command Public Relations Officer, (PPRO), Adewale Osifeso said “The case is undergoing investigation. Updates would be provided accordingly please.”.
