Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru has congratulated the immediate past governor of Ebonyi State, Engr. David Nweze Umahi on his emergence as the 10th Senate Deputy Majority Leader, describing it as a testament of the confidence his colleagues repose on him.
Governor Nwifuru stated that the development, is a confirmation of his track records of service and political acumen as well as positive contributions towards the affairs of the Senate.
He expressed confidence that Umahi will carryout the assignment with utmost sense of responsibility and dexterity for the growth and development of the entire country.

`Your Excellency, your emergence is a testament of the confidence your colleagues reposed in you . With this development, your track records of service and political acumen will no doubt contribute positively to the affair of the Senate.
`Your election as a principal officer is widely celebrated in Ebonyi and beyond because we are confident that you will carry out the assignment with the dexterity you are known for over the years.
