Former Governor of Zamfara State and Senator-elect for Zamfara West, Abdulaziz Yari, has expressed optimism that the 10th National Assembly to be inaugurated in June, will work to ensure the unity and rebuild Nigeria.

Yari, in a congratulatory letter to the Senators-elect dated May 13, signed on Saturday, opined that for the 10th National Assembly, the division among Nigerians resulting from religious, tribal and ethnic sentiments is a narrative that must be changed for the country to move forward in all spheres of life.

He enjoined the 10th Senate to work together with the incoming Bola Ahmed Tinubu government for the full implementation of the ‘Renewed Hope’ agenda in order to achieve economic growth and transformation in all sectors of the country.

According  to the former governor, “You must all think up ways to work towards building a better and united country to make it safe for all. The voyage you are embarking on is a journey for the unification of Nigeria. This is an opportunity to rebuild this country in the interest of all.”

The Senator-elect charged members  of the 10th National Assembly to use the opportunity of their election to partner Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the President-elect in achieving the economy agenda of the country in ensuring human capital and infrastructural development of the country.

He also enjoined them to strive to ensure a smooth relationship between the Executive, Legislature and Judiciary, believing that together in unity of purpose, they could make the country a better place for all and make it march the achievements of advance nations.

While in the Senate, he urged the in-coming members to always be reminded that they are indebted to their constituencies and should work towards attracting developmental projects to their people, stressing  that it is the reason they were elected to serve.
