No fewer than 10, 000 residents from Bichi Local Government Area of Kano State are to benefit from Senator Jibrin Barau Maliya’s free medical outreach.
This was disclosed to our correspondent by the executive Chairman of Bichi Local Government Council, Dr. Yusuf Mohammed Sabo in Kano.
Residents including youth, elderly women, men, children, as well as other vulnerable persons will benefit from consultation and laboratory services, eye tests, free drugs, treatment of minor medical cases as well as screening for Malaria, Hypertension, Diabetes, Hepatitis A, B and C among others.
The free medical outreach is part of the efforts of the Distinguished Senator Barau Jibrin Maliya, the Senator representing Kano North to improve the health and well-being of the people of Kano North.
The Senator’s decision to provide this free medical services to his constituents was borne out of his desire to ensure people at the grassroots have access to quality medical services, and his genuine intention to ensure the people in the zone reap the needed dividends of democracy.
The beneficiaries will receive world-class healthcare services from over 200 volunteers and healthcare professionals in different areas of medical practice including Internal Medicine, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Child Health, Obstetrics, Gynaecology (ObGyn), Nursing, Laboratory Science, Pharmacy, Health Promotion/Education and Community Health, among others.
The medical outreach would be coordinated by Dr Yusuf Mohammed Sabo, a medical doctor and the current Executive Chairman, Bichi Local Government Council.
