Senator representing the Southern Senatorial district of Cross River State at National Assembly, Senator Gershom Bassey, has congratulated the governor Ben Ayade, for the huge support given to him by the people of the northern senatorial district.
He made the remarks in a statement made available to New Nigerian Online in Calabar.
Bassey noted that such show of love, loyalty and support enjoyed by governor Ayade is an eloquent demonstration of the appreciation by the people of the North over his of visionary performance within this short period in office.
He wished him more success as he pilot the affairs of our dear state and enjoined Cross Riverians to sustain the support and goodwill for the governor to enable him complete his lofty projects and programmes for the state.
In a related development, Senator Bassey has congratulated governor Ayade and former governor Donald Duke as well as Senator Liyel Imoke and indeed the entire people of Bakassi for th4 victory at the Supreme Court which ordered INEC to create a constituency for the people of Bakassi.
He described the victory as a victory for the people of the state and commended all the stakeholders who contributed to the victory.
