The Director of Media & Publicity, All Progressives Congress (APC), Ondo State, Mr. Steve Otaloro has debunked insinuations making the rounds that the exit of the party Chairman, Barr. Isaac Kekemeke has left a vacuum..

Otaloro in a statement he made available to newsmen in Akure said the lull in the political activities at the secretariat of the Ondo State chapter of APC has been broken.

According to him, *with the State Executive (EXCO) of the party taking up the gauntlet by suspending its Chairman, Hon. Isaac Kekemeke and appointing the erstwhile Deputy Chairman, Engr. Ade Adetimehin as the new chairman in acting capacity”

This he said is pending the outcome of the 3-man disciplinary committee set up to investigate the suspended  chairman for failing to discharge his responsibilities, neglect and dereliction of duty, among other offenses.

He how ever quoted the party’s constitution   ARTICLE 21(D)(vi) of October 2014 asamended which Kekeme was accused to have violated to drive home his point.

The Director of Media and Publicity disclosed that activities are expected to Brie  forth in the party secretariat as soon as possible.

It will be recalled that before the gubernatorial primary election of the party in 2016, a vote of no confidence was passed on the suspended chairman and was asked to vacate his position as chairman of the party by laryy Elders.

Others who supported suspension order  by the leaders include the State Executive  on the allegation of high handedness in the administration of the party,

While urging party members to wait for the outcome of the 3-member disciplinary committee, he said,  it is however incontrovertible that the party and members were denied their deserved joy and celebration of victory of the last gubernatorial election.

With the unanimous appointment of Engr Ade Adetimehin by the State Exco as Acting Chairman of APC Ondo State chapter, a new lease of life is assured for all members of the party who have long been sidelined in party activities.
