A change of baton has been effected at the Kaduna State Police Command, resulting from the posting of CP Agyole Abeh to the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
Rumours were rife of an imminent change of baton at the command earkier Tuesday, but confirmation came from a message sent to New Nigerian Newspapers by Kaduna State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP Aliyu Mukhtar, late Tuesday night.
“Good evening, this is to inform you that the scheduled Wednesday 24th Press Briefing has been postponed.
“This is due to the posting of a new Commissioner of Police to Kaduna State Command, while CP Agyole Abeh has been transferred to Force Hdqtrs Abuja. New date will be communicated pls. Thank you,” the message said.
Though it is yet to be made public who the new CP is, expectations are that he would be unveiled on Wednesday.
