Zulum Flags Off FG’s Palliatives  Distribution In Gwoza

Borno State Governor, Prof Babagana Zulum  on Monday, flagged off the Federal Government National Strategic Grains Reserve  distribution to the internally Displaced Person’s (IDPs), and other vulnerable persons in Pulka community of Gwoza Local Government Area of the state.
While fagging off the distribution of the palliatives,  Governor  Zulum said, “we are here today to witness the distribution of palliatives to the vulnerable person’s under the Federal Government National strategic grains reserve.
” We are going distribute 50 kg of grains to 10,000 households in Pulka,, 18,000  females will get a wrappers and N10,000 cash each, the distribution will be extended to the people of Warabe, Ngoshe, Ashigashiya, and Kirawa making a total.of over 22,000 beneficiaries.
 ” I want to reiterate that this grains were provided by the Federal Government under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu, Borno state government was allocated 36,000 bags of grains, while the wrappers and the cash was provided by the Borno state government.
” I want to use this opportunity to commend President Bola Tinubu for his  support  to the people of Bormo, apart from this we have  received several assistance from FG, Recently President Bola Tinubu also approved funds for the take off of Federal College of Education Gwoza.
“I also want to use the opportunity to thank Vice President Kashim Shettima, the NEMA, the military and other Federal Government agencies “, Zulum said.
He also  assured the Federal Government that no single grain will be diverted, stressing that to ensure that only vulnerable persons benefit, the  state government has constituted a Committee consisting  of the Divisional Police Officers (DPO), DSS, NSCDC, religious and community leaders among others.
While condoling  the people of Pulka, over to he killings of some residents by Boko Haram terrorists recently, Governor Zulum urged them to go back to their farms, as government  alone cannot provide or satisfy everybody with food and also urged them to  pray for the restoration of complete peace back to the state.
Earlier in his address, the member representing Gwoza, Damboa, Chibok Federal Constituency, Hon Ahmed  Babayo Jaha said, “I want to on behalf of the people of Gwoza local government of Borno State  express my gratitude to the Federal Government under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu and our hard working and committed Governor Babagana Zulum and other stakeholders.
” When Federal Government announced that the grains will be handed over to the state  government, we were happy because, we know the items is getting  into  good hands.because  Governor Zulum will ensure only the deserving people get it.
“Today , Governor Zulum is not only here to distribution the federal government grains  but  he added bundles of  wrappers and N220 million’ to  to be distributed to 22,000 beneficiaries,” Jaha said.
In his remarks, the North East Zonal Coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Sirajo  Mohammed said ,” the grains were provided by the Federal Government under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu from the National Strategic Grains Reserve to be distributed to the vulnerable Nigerian  people “.
“Borno State Government is allocated 36,000 bags of grains and we have taken delivery of the grains. This was achieved with the efforts of Governor Zulum. Because many states are yet to take delivery  or transport their allocations from the grains reserve”, Sirajo said.
