Zirami people in Bauchi pleads for road construction

People of Zirami village of Giade Local Government Area of Bauchi state have appealed to the state government to consider the construction of Zirami – Gambaki road to improve the socio-economic development of people of the area.
The District Head of Zirami, Alhaji Musa Sulaiman made the appeal onbehalf of the people when he received the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt.Hon. Kawuwa Shehu Damina inj his palace
Alh Musa Sulaiman said the appeal become imperative considering the nature of the road linking the two villages, stressing that if constructed the road will be of great impact to the socio-economic life of the people in the area.
The District head while commending the Speaker for the visit, noted that cordial relationship exists between the people of Zirami and Darazo, the ancestral home of Rt.Hon. Kawuwa Shehu Damina and expressed optimism that the relationship would wax stronger for the benefit of people of the two districts.
The Speaker, RT. Hon. Kawuwa Shehu Damina had earlier said they were at the District Head’s palace to pay homage to him and to thank him for his support and fatherly advice.
Damina commended the warm reception accorded to him and his entourage by the District Head, and called on the people of the area to support government policies and programmes towards the rapid socio-economic development of the state.
Also speaking, the Acting Chairman of Darazo local government, Alhaji Mustapha Shehu Zirami thanked the Speaker for the visit and assured him of their continued support and prayers for a peaceful Bauchi state.
Alhaji Shehu Mustapha, who said the government is aware of the hardships being experienced by the people, however enjoined them to be patient as government at all levels are trying to bring smiles on their  faces.
