Zaria Educational Development Association (ZEDA) is to hold its 30th Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Lecture in a grand style with Lecture series on Friday and AGM on Saturday.
The Chairman Central Working Committee of the association, Dr. Alimi Bello stated this during a press conference held at the secretariat of the association in Zaria.
He said, they are celebrating the 30th year full of encouragement, considering the numerous successes and challenges they passed through.
Dr. Alimi Bello said that part of their success is the establishment of ZEDA Model School which presently began its senior secondary school section.and catch them young programme.
The CWC also said, ZEDA as an NGO, has made remarkable achievements in its JAMB Clinic Programme for students who are ready to write JAMB.
According to him, ZEDA awards scholarship to indigent students based on the donations received from individuals and corporate organizations on a particular course.
Also speaking the Secretary General of the association Professor Muhammad Isah Abbas said, the 30th AGM will be unique considering the large numbers of prominent people appointed into the National Working Committee of the association.
Professor Isah Abbas also said that for the first time, an emir will be the chairman of the occasion, which is the emir of Argungu, Alhaji Samaila Mera.
The Emir of Zazzau, Malam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli is the Grand Patron of the association, while Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu is the special guest of honour and Governor Nasir el-Rufa’i is the chief host.
