Zazzau Emirate in Kaduna State has announced the cancellation of the Sallah festivals for the Eid-el fitr.
Announcing the cancellation, thé Dan Isan Zazzau, Alhaji Umar Shehu Idris, who is the Assistant Secretary to thé emirate council, said it was in line with thé government order prohibiting mass gathering of people in one place.
He said, the activities cancelled are traditional Sallah durbar, Hawan Daushe and children Kilisa which used to hold immediately after Hawan Daushe signaling the end of Sallah festival celebrations in Zazzau emirate.
The emirate council enjoined its subjects to respect laid down government order and remain at home as the lockdown order is in force as part of measures taken against the spread of CoronaVirus in the State.
According to him, the emirate is working with the advise given by the National Council of Disease Control (NCDC) on Social distancing, avoiding large gathering of people.
