Zamfara Govt Donates N100m, 10,000 Bags Assorted Grains To Gummi Flood Victims

The Zamfara State Government has donated the sum of one hundred million Naira and ten thousand bags of assorted grains to the victims of flood in Gummi local government council of the state.

Governor Dauda Lawal announced this when he visited Gummi Local Government Council to sympathize with the flood victims on Saturday.

He explained that the assorted grains compromised of millet, rice and maize.

According to him, the state government has allocated plots of land free of charge to the victims for them to be relocated.

He explained that each victim will be giving blanket, mosquito nets, mattresses respectively.

Governor Dauda reiterated his administration’s determination to ensure well-being of his people, calling on people in the area to avoid dumping of refuse on the waterways to avoid recurring of flooding.

“I want to enjoin Gummi communities that you should avoid dumping of refuse in your watercourse to avoid flooding”. Gov Dauda stated

In his remarks, the Emir of Gummi Justice Lawal Hassan Gummi commended the governor for the concerned to his people.

Also speaking, the chairman of distribution of the donation, Alh. Salihu Maibuhu Gummi, promised to distribute it judiciously by ensuring every victim benefits from in the area.
