Zamfara Anti Thuggery Committee Arrest Over 50 Alleged PDP Thugs

The Zamfara State anti thuggery operatives has arrested no fewer than 50 PDP thugs in Gusau.
This was made known by the state Commandant of the operatives, Bello Mohammed Bakyasuwa, while parading the suspects at his office on Tuesday.
According to him, over 30 of them were found with dangerous weapons during political rally of the Zamfara PDP gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Dauda Lawal Dare in Gusau.
He further revealed that the suspects were apprehended while trying to cause unrest ranging from destruction of government facilities, APC facilities to mention but a few.
Bakyasuwa stated that his committee arrested one Yusuf Aminu Gusau, who is allegedly sponsored by the PDP to set APC vehicle on fire in Gusau, the state capital a day after the PDP rally.
In an interview with newsmen, Yusuf Aminu Gusau confessed to have set the APC vehicle ablaze.
According to him, he acted on directives given by PDP gubernatorial candidate, Dr Dauda Lawal Dare that they should set any APC vehicle ablaze during his campaign rally.
“I did what I did based on directived given to us through our leader that Dr. Dauda Lawal Dare said we should go in advance during his rally and look for any vehicle belonging to APC found blocking the main road should be removed or set ablaze,” Yusuf Aminu said.
Bakyasuwa stated that his committee will work tirelessly to ensure any form of thuggery, drugs abuse or crime rate is reduced to the barest minimum in the state, particularly during electioneering campaign, elections and beyond. 
He further revealed that all the culprits will soon be handed over to police for further action.
