The Emir of Dutse in Jigawa State, His Royal Highness Dr. Nuhu Muhammad Sunusi has urged politicians to device all means in bringing to an end all issues related to security challenges confronting  the country.
Speaking at his palace while receiving an All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential aspirant and also Minister of Transport, Chief Rotimi Ameachi, Sunusi stated, “the lingering issues of banditry and kidnapping almost on daily basis is alarming and deserve to be confronted drastically for  total elimination.”
The Emir described the Minister of Transport, Rt. Honourable Rotimi Amaechi as a true nationalist, non tribalistic and reliable person, honest and competent to lead Nigeria.
Dr Sunusi explained that, the North and the whole Nigeria cannot forget the sacrifice made by the minister in 2015 by supporting  Muhammad Buhari’s presidential candidature as a matter of national interest against any tribal or regional sentiment.
“Amaechi is a bridge builder and is a man that has Nigeria at heart at all times. Therefore, I am optimistic that he has all  it takes for one to become next president of Nigeria for improving peace, unity and prosperity of the nation “
The Emir then prayed Almighty Allah to guide and protect the minister as he volunteers to serve the nation in a higher capacity.
Also speaking,  the chairman Senate Committee on Army, Senator Ali Ndume,  who is Amaechi’s  Director General  Presidential Campaign Team, said they chose to support Amaechi’s aspiration because he is tested and trusted, as such, they have confidence on him.
He  assured the emir that if Amaechi becomes the next president of Nigeria, more recognition and roles will be given to the traditional institution for peace and national cohesion.
Speaking at the palace,  Amaechi promised to ensure timely completion of Dutse-Kano-Daura rail line and all other ongoing rail  projects to facilitate movement of goods and services across the country.
He also promised to operate an open government that will listen to the advice from elders, statesmen, experts and professionals on any matter of national interest, if he emerges president.
