Yolan Bayara community in Bauchi cries out of neglect

Yolan Bayara community in Bauchi local government area has cried out for succor from the state government in view of the deplorable condition of the only road leading into the village.
Yolan Bayara, a village with about five thousand inhabitants, is about four kilometers away from the state capital, Bauchi.
Addressing the people of the area at his palace shortly after communal efforts to rehabilitate the road from Bayara General Hospital to the village, the Village Head, Mallam Yakubu Adamu, wondered why despite their proximity to the state capital, Yolan Bayara still lacks some basic social amenities.
Malam Yakubu Adamu explained that bad nature of the access road into the village coupled with lack of a bridge and culverts on the road have been causing untold hardships to residents of the area.
He called on Governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar to consider the area in the 2016 budgetif and when passed  by the State House of Assembly, by constructing the road and the provision of other social amenities to the village.
The Chairman, Yolan Bayara Development Association, Malam Sani Sarki Yakubu, has in a remark regretted the negative impact of the bad road on the educational development of the area.
Malam Sani Sarki, said although they are not far away from most of the higher institutions of the state, most youths in the area find it difficult to reach their schools particularly during rainy season.
He thanked the World Bank for supporting the community with N8 million for the construction of primary school and a clinic which he said have been impacting positively on the lives of residents of the area.
Also speaking, a Fulani leader in the area, Malam Jafaru Abdullahi Ranka, said that as a result of the deplorable condition of the village road, they find it difficult to take their farm products and animals to nearby markets.
