Yobe gets new police chief

A NEW Commissioner of Police has been appointed for Yobe State. He is Alhaji Sanusi A. Rufai.
The new police chief who has since assumed duty, solicited for the co-operation and support of the people of the state.
Meanwhile, the Chief of Defence Staff, Admiral Ola Ibrahim and Inspector General of Police, Muhammadu D. Abubakar arrived Damaturu yesterday on an assessment and familiarisation visit to Yobe State.
They both expressed resolve for a new approach to and an improvement of the security situation in the state.
The two principal security chiefs later departed Damaturu for Abuja.
