He said that the Minister of Sports, Barrister Solomon Dalung should convey the state’s request to President Muhammadu Buhari.
“My task is very simple, I have been asked to declare the games closed. But before I do that, I would like to inform you that our doors remain open and we are bidding to host all your subsequent editions,” he declared.
He explained that the state government knowing the potentials of sports in earning foreign exchange for the country, would always ensure that the best facilities that can develop potential sportsmen and women is provided.
“Sports is not only a unifying factor for our youths, but can keep them positively engaged and a source of livelihood which can also earn Nigeria foreign income,” he explained.
