Women Foundation Gets N1.5m Support From ABG

Former Federal Legislator, Hon.  Shehu Bawa, simply called ABG, has given out 1.5 millon Naira to a women development foundation in Kaduna North Federal Constituency as part of effort to alleviate poverty in the society.
While commending the initiative of the foundation  which specializes on  impacting vocational skills on women, ABG reiterated commitment to continue contributing his quota towards the upliftment of  youth and women within and beyond Kaduna North Federal Constituency until idleness has been  tackled to the barest minimum.
The association known as Badarawa Development Foundation was established, according to its  treasurer, Umar Adamu to serve as  skills acquisition center for women whom he noted were the most vulnerable and hard-hit by the current economic bottleneck experienced across the country.
Adamu revealed that the foundation in her latest feat was able to train sixty beneficiaries on catering, fifty on knitting and another fourty  on make-up skills, Making a total of 150 women trainees to have benefitted from the initiative.
The treasurer, while paying glowing tributes to ABG for donating handsomely to the cause of providing means of livelihood to women, he urged other financially capable members of the society to emulate the politician whom he described as a generous philanthropist, strong pillar of Support with the interest of the poor at heart.
The former Reps Member  who represented Kaduna North Federal Constituency from 2011 to 2015  assured his readiness to maintain the tempo of  empowering people at the grassroots until the menace of idleness he observed had become a threat to Nigerian society  was  drastically curtailed.
” It is my submission that unemployment has seriously birthed some evils in our communities including insecurity , drug abuse, prostitution among other social vices .
” If We must eradicate these societal ills, We must take seriously the issue of unemployment within our communities so teeming number of our youth and women are absorbed in one form of vocation or another.
” This I have been doing in my own little way to take people out of the streets and provide sources of sustenance to them so they could be useful members of their families and the society at large.
” I am determined to maintain the tempo until our efforts are crowned with success, ” he said .
