Wife of Management Chairman, Pankshin Local Government of Plateau, Mrs Vivian Jings has described women as the pillars and spices of democracy all over the World.
The Council First Lady made the declaration during a meeting with wives of the council supervisory councilors and 20 wards APC women leaders in Pankshin.
“The roles being played by wives of top politicians and world leaders have been the tonic of the game of politics and can not be over emphasized.’’ She however challenged women not to relent on their support to their husbands in order for them to succeed in their given tasks at entrenching democracy for positive development of the nation.
“Look around any big male politicians across the globe and you will see a woman by his side playing the role of support and encouragement.
“As women, you should be seen to play your part in supporting not just your husbands but this APC administration to succeed in entrenching democracy and the desired growth and development in the council, state and nation at large.
“Democracy has come to stay in Nigeria and women must not just be seen but be heard in creating the enabling environment for its success,” she argued.
According to her, all hands must be on deck toward ensuring that the Governor Simon Lalong APC led government on the Plateau brings about the desired positive development in the state.
Responding, Mrs Nenrot Yilchini, APC Woman Leader, Plateau Central Zone, assured the first lady of their unalloyed support to not just their husbands but the APC government to deliver its campaign promises to the people.
“We believe in our husbands and the APC led administration and would supports its policies and programmes for it to turn around the futunes of Nigeria and Nigerians in this biting recession”.
