The African Democratic Congress (ADC), has expressed  readiness to run an all-inclusive administration to take care of the interest of all stakeholders and the people of the state when it takes over the mantle of leadership after the July 16 governorship election in the State,

Chairman of the 5-man Primary Election committee that supervised the election, Ibrahim Suleiman stated this in a statement made available to the media in Kaduna

Suleiman said the Ifedola Olufemi government  would ensure that development spreads to all nooks and crannies of the state to make life meaningful for the people and commended the people of the area for their support.
He called for the support of all Osun people during the election with a promise not to sideline anybody and called for unity among members, urging them not to allow division hamper the success of the party in the forthcoming governorship election.
Ibrahim Suleiman said the candidate was able to emerge in line with the party’s constitution, through voice vote affirmation by the over 350 delegates from across the state, being the only contestant.
He declared that, “the ADC is very ready to contest and win the governorship election come July 16, this year.”
Suleiman said the two major political parties in Nigeria have failed to provide the necessary leadership, hence the need to do away with them.
He said “ADC is ready to provide the necessary and much needed leadership that the people need.
“Nigeria is so blessed and has all it takes to compete favourably with the Western world, all what we need is for the right people to be at the helms of affairs. We are ready to serve the people, we are ready to serve our nation,” he assured.

In his remarks,  candidate of the ADC, Ifedola Olufemi charged members of the party to go back to their various constituencies to canvass support for the party and sell its manifesto to the people of the state.
Olufemi who  appreciated the 5-man Primary Election Committee headed by its chairman, Ibrahim Suleiman and supervised by the Independent National Electoral COmmission (INEC), said his decision to contest was borne out of passion to be an instrument of a better Osun as a state and as a people.

‘I decided to vie for the governorship position because I will be an instrument to change Osun State to be better for everybody. I am indeed delighted to have been given the mandate to be the flag bearer of our party.
“If by July 16, 2022 I am the governor, I will make sure that the agricultural, health, education, environment and housing sectors are transformed. ADC will simplify the processes for the acquisition of land for building purposes,” he said.

The state party executive members were also affirmed through voice vote and sworn-in on behalf of the National Chairman by the Southwest Chairman, Eyiowuawi Ishaq.
Eyiowuawi noted that Nigerians are desirous of a new political party to run the affairs of the country and the party is out to prove its worth.
In his acceptance speech, the newly sworn-in state chairman of the party, Dr. Charles Idowu Omidiji expressed readiness of the party to take over the mantle of leadership in the state.
Dr. Omidiji said his party has demonstrated the capacity to turn around the fortunes of the state through youth empowerment which is  its cardinal programme already being enjoyed all over the country.
