We Provide Qualitative Healthcare Services To Improve Citizens Condition – Gov Bala

Governor Bala Mohammed has said that the robust Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by the Bauchi State Government with its partners working in the health sector is to help in the provision of qualitative healthcare services to the citizens to improve their living conditions.
Mohammed, while receiving Chief of UNICEF Bauchi field office, Mr. Tushar Rane accompanied by some agency’s officials who paid him an advocacy visit in Bauchi on Friday, reiterated the commitment of his administration towards ensuring positive improvement in the healthcare delivery including routine immunization.
The governor said that in addition to the renovation and upgrading of primary and secondary health facilities across the state, his administration has made a significant improvement on welfare package as contained in relevant agreements for efficient healthcare services.
He sought for the support of UNICEF in the implementation of programmes on health management for effective service delivery in line with global best practice, saying “I am happy with what the UNICEF is doing not only in Bauchi or Nigeria, but around the globe, and for their passion to advancing the lives of women and children”.
“We really appreciate the partners that are helping us especially on the routine immunization and I want to reiterate that, we will not relent in doing our best to tackle outbreak of diseases.”
Governor Bala told the UNICEF officials that the state of emergency declared in the health sector and the health summit conducted in the state are part of the efforts and determination of the state government to address the challenges facing the sector.
Speaking earlier, the Chief of UNICEF Bauchi field office, Mr Tushar Rane described Bauchi state as one of the strategic priority states of operations by the organization in recognition of the tremendous successes recorded on healthcare delivery including routine immunization.
According with the achievements of Governor Bala Mohammed led administration, UNICEF is ready to support the state government in the areas of education, WASH, child protection and nutrition for the betterment of women and children in the state.
Rane gave the Bauchi state achievements as formulation of strategic plan 2011- 2025, establishment of Contributory management agency, rehabilitation of PHCs, implementation of the basic healthcare.
Others, the chief of field office enumerated, and child protection and digital learning system, saying “UNICEF is happy to be part of the successes especially in immunization and availability of vaccines.”
Tushar Rane said that UNICEF is implementing a two-year initiative to strengthen PHC system as part of its commitment to reach out to all women and children in the state and called for proper utilization of the opportunity
