Senator Jeremiah Timbut Useni, representing Plateau South Senatorial district, said at the age of 40, it’s mandatory for sons and daughters of the State to plan a clear direction for the state.
He said people in the state must reaffirm their commitment towards positioning the state on the path of growth and development.
In a statement signed by his media aide, Abubakar Atiku Yusuf Jos, the Senator said despite the challenges the state had faced during it’s 40 years of existence, it remains a role model to other states.
According to him, Plateau suffered sectarian crises for over a decade, a development that did not augur well for anybody.
“It is my fervent believe that despite all odds, Plateau State has achieved quite a lot in both human and capital development, most importantly, at this critical moment of our statehood, it is our sincere prayer, determination and commitment to do things that will positively add value to our existence and for the generations yet unborn.
“I wish also to condole the Plateau State Council of Chiefs and the Gomae Nation for the passing away of the Longomai- His Royal Highness Miskoom Hulbert Shaldas. The late longomai had lived a life with an exemplary style of good leadership devoid of parochial interest, that is worthy of emulation”.
Senator Useni, a member of the People’s Democratic Party [PDP] also commended President Muhammadu Buhari on his fight against corruption and urged him to maintain the momentum.
