Nigerians have been asked to think about what they could be remembered for in the building of a virile Nigeria which will be an envy of all.
Commissioner of Information, Culture and Tourism in Niger State, Mr. Jonathan Vatsa enjoined Nigerians not to always think of how to get their own share of ‘National Cake’ but rather how to bake it for good of all.
Mr. Vatsa made the call while addressing staffers of his ministry at the end of the year’s appraisal of the ministry, its achievements and the goals of the ministry for 2017.

The Commissioner recalled that years back during Nigeria’s economic prosperity days, not a few people enjoyed the “national cake’ but unfortunately the cakes are no longer here now. He said we must move on to face the fire as we all bake additional cakes for all of us and our children to enjoy “.
Vatsa noted that what was paramount now is that Nigeria needs people with patriotic minds to move forward, match on and toil in productivity, patriotism and commitment to the ideals of oneness. “We must collectively do things that unite us as a people and avoid acts capable of undermining our unity in diversity in our day to day words and actions” he said.
He cautioned against all divisive acts and tendencies just as he admonished young persons to internalize the virtue of togetherness, unity of purpose and nationalism.

The Commissioner told members of staff of his ministry, stakeholders in the ministry and citizens of the state that the present administration in the state have invested heavily in the machinery of information dissemination with the acquisition of digital equipment for broadcast, news and information spread as part of the strategies to reach all and sundry in nooks and crannies of the state to bring governance to the doorstep of every community.
