We Are Taking  Fight To Criminals In  Creeks – Gov Umo Eno

The Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno has reiterated his administration’s determination to weed off  criminal elements in the state, saying that not even the creeks will habour them anymore.
Governor Eno, who stated this on Tuesday during a media briefing to mark his one year in office, sounded a warning to parents to carry out routine checks on their children and caution them against bad friends in their company and where they spend their time, especially at night in order to escape government’s anger.
He also called on  community leaders to know who comes to live in their communities and what they do for a living as government will go after any community that habours criminals in the state, while encouraging the people to report any suspicious person or movement within the locality to security agencies.
The governor who expressed  displeasure over the recent cases of kidnaping in the state, said the Ministry of Internal Security and Water Ways is well empowered with the necessary tools and to work in collaboration with other security agencies in the state to keep Akwa Ibom free from criminality.  
In his words, “We have traced, arrested culprits and confronted people for every kidnapping in this state.
‘We will soon come out with a clear cut access to command and control, we need members of the public to volunteer information. Some communities harbor these criminal elements and they see it as brisks business. We will soon make some shocking arrests.
“We are taking the fight to criminals in the creeks. Check on your children, there will be casualties because we can’t allow this to go on.” 
Governor Eno assured that he has served the state within the last one year with integrity and has continued to work within his ARISE agenda, (economic blueprint) to the best of his ability.
“I have served Akwa Ibom in the last one year with the integrity of my heart. What we want for our state is to serve our people.
“We have tried our best, to the best of my ability under God, I have served Akwa Ibom with all my heart,” he stated.
Governor Eno said that himself as human welcome critics in his government to make him do but such criticism must be facts based and constructive.
The governor said already he has terminated the contracts on four roads where the contractors failed to live up to the expectations, and currently working on re-awarding them.
Facts show that Governor Umo Eno has within the past one year, executed projects in the health, agriculture, education, aviation sectors, as well as security and road infrastructure across the state in line with his ARISE agenda
