Osun State Government has suspended its order mandating civil servants on its payroll to submit their Bank Verification Numbers (BVN).
The government in a circular issued by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Finance, Mrs Adebimpe Ogunlumade directed that collection of BVN from banks should be put on hold in the interim.
According to the government in the circular, it has been brought to the notice of the State Government the difficulties being encountered by most public officers in the state in collecting the required BVN printouts from their banks.
Emphasizing that while “the Bank Verification Number(BVN) is part of the process to sanitise and streamline the payroll, the Government has no intention of unduly inconveniencing its loyal and supportive workforce” .

No, Telephone No, Name of bank and a print out of their Bank Verification Number (BVN) which should be gotten from their banks.
According to the circular, “all completed forms should be forwarded to the Ministry of Finance not later than Wednesday 24th February, 2016” and that “returns from Local Government areas should be collated on Local Government Area basis by the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy, Water Resources, Rural and Community Affairs”;
It added that “returns from all tertiary institutions should be collated by  the Office of Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science and Technology; Returns from Elementary and Middle Schools should be collated on Local Government Area basis by the State Universal Basic Education Board ( SUBEB) while Returns from High Schools should be collated by the respective Education Districts”.
