Unilorin prepared to successfully host National Youth Games – Kazeem

Chairman of the Directors of Sports Forum in Nigeria, Mallam Tunde Kazeem has assured that he is satisfied with the facilities at the University of Ilorin, host of the second edition of the National Youth Games billed to commence on September 23.
He gave the assurance in a phone interview on Tuesday, where he praised the management of the institution for ensuring that they put everything in place ahead of the annual Games.
Mallam Kazeem explained that he was pleased that the management in its effort at ensuring they hosted successfully, suspended all holiday programmes, to make sure that the venues and halls that would be used are in perfect shape.
“The university is fully prepared and would also be providing accommodation for all the athletes, officials and the auxiliary staff that would be coming with them like the drivers,” he added.
Mallam Kazeem who is also the host Director of Sports of the host State, Kwara, disclosed that close to 3,000 athletes from the 36 states of the country and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja have been registered to feature in the 11 sporting events that would take place.
