Undesignated Teachers in A/Ibom resort to prayers for posting

Secondary School Teachers who were employed about two years ago by the immediate past administration in the state have resorted to prayers to be posted to designated schools.
The teachers have taken to prayers hoping that prayer as key will answer of all their problems.
Venue of their special prayer session was the popular Ibom plaza ground where they called on God to touch the heart of Governor Udom Emmanuel to consider their plights.
The Emmanuel administration had alleged that that recruitment exercise carried out by the former Governor Akpabio’s administration was marred by irregularities. But checks have also shown that a year after steps were taken by the current administration to correct anomalies, those with genuine reason were yet to get posted.
This is even as all public secondary schools in the state still face the challenge of inadequate teachers to match the over-bloated students population arising from the free and compulsory education policy in the state.
