The Commissioner for Trade and Investment in Ebonyi State, Barr. (Mrs) Chioma Nweze has commended the unimaginable infrastructural development taking place across the state, courtesy of Engr. David Nweze Umahi, stating that the legacy projects which are generously sprinkled across every corner of the state, have successfully deflated the bulging balloons of backwardness and ensured faster realization of their collective dreams as a people.
In her Independent Anniversary message, the Commissioner stated that 26 years of creation of Ebonyi State and Nigeria at 62, firmly depicts the collective journey into statehood and nationhood, while political journey is full of courage and perseverance.
She further noted that Umahi has won the war against underdevelopment, and backwardness witnessed in the state right from its creation having restored the lost Glory of Ebonyi state.
“On behalf of my family and the Management and staff of Ministry of Trade and Investment Ebonyi State, I heartily congratulate my fellow countrymen and women on the symbolic occasion of Nigeria’s 62nd Independence anniversary celebration.
“As proud Nigerians, Independence Day is significant as it commemorates the valour and spirit of the freedom fighters and brave hearts, who defiantly liberated us from colonial rule.
“As we delightfully toast to 26 years of creation of Ebonyi State and 62 years of nationhood, it can be firmly stated that our collective journey into statehood, nationhood and political leadership remains a story of courage and perseverance.
“On this twin celebration, I most heartily salute, congratulate and celebrate a phenomenal leader and trailblazer, His Excellency, Engineer David Umahi, the mother of the state, Chief Mrs Rachel Umahi, the Deputy Governor, Dr Kelechi Igwe, and all leaders at all levels across the state for excellent leadership trajectory.
“As we appraise our collective journey and all the issues that impact on our polity we acknowledge, shoulders high, many pioneering indelible landmark infrastructural projects across various sectors of Ebonyi state which have cloaked Ebonyi in gold-plated armour as the infrastructural showcase of the Southeastern region.
“Your Excellency, our hardworking Governor, your legacy projects which are generously sprinkled across every corner of the state have successfully deflated the bulging balloons of backwardness and ensured faster realization of our collective dreams as a people. You have singlehandedly won the war against underdevelopment, and aggressively sustaining it.
“On this premise, and with full gratitude to God, I celebrate and extend warm congratulations to you, your lovely family and the entire organogram of Ebonyi State leadership, while pledging my continuous support to your progressive government “.
