Uba Sani, 32 Kaduna Assembly Members-elect Receive Certificates Of Return

Governor-elect, Senator Uba Sani and 32 members-elect of Kaduna State House of Assembly were on  Friday, given certificates of return by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as winners of March 18 general elections. 

The certificates of return were presented to the governor-elect Uba Sani, his running mate, Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe and state assembly members-elect by National Commissioner of INEC, Mohammed Haruna Kudu in a brief ceremony held at Kaduna INEC office.

Senator Sani in a brief statement shorty after receiving his certificate of return as elected governor of Kaduna State, promised to run an all-inclusive administration in which interests of all citizens irrespective of party and religious affiliation would be taken care of.

He disclosed that a well-thought out plan has already been prepared and in  place to address pressing needs of the state, adding that no discrimination would be made against anybody or segments of the society based on voting patterns of the just concluded election.

“I will hit the ground running as soon as I assume mantle of leadership of our great by ensuring I deliver my electoral pledges to our people.

“I am not unaware of barrage of issues confronting our people and state at this material time because I’m also part and parcel of you and I can feel your pulse.

“Leadership is all about service to the people and ensure their welfare and other issues affecting them directly are handled and given priority, “he maintained.

According to INEC statistics of the governorship and state assembly elections conducted on March 18 All progressives Congress(APC) won 20 seats while 12 went to the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Contests in four constituencies were declared inconclusive.

They are; Kaura, Kudan, Sanga and Giwa East with dates for elections in the affected areas yet to be announced by the electoral umpire
