*Oyo Police Command warns against jungle justice

Two suspected kidnappers are now in Police net in Ibadan for allegedly attempting to abduct a nine-year old girl on her way to church.
Amidst this, the Oyo State Police Command has warned against jungle justice on suspected criminals.
According to a statement by the Oyo state command  Police Public Relations Officer, (PPRO) SP Adewale Osifeso, the suspected abductors , Kabiru Salam ‘m’ aged 32 and Lukman Adisa ‘m’ were arrested by men of the Command around Alakia Adelubi axis, Ibadan 
Police in the statement stressed that ” preliminary investigations revealed that the girl was in the company of her mother, one Afolabi Modupe ‘F’ and other siblings when the  two suspects attempted seizing her from her Mother’s grip.”
” On Sunday (20/03/2022) at about 0920HRS, operatives of the Command on Intelligence led surveillance and patrol around Alakia Adelubi axis, Ibadan responded to a distress call regarding the execution of Jungle justice on the duo of Kabiru Salam ‘m’ aged 32 and Lukman Adisa ‘m’ for allegedly attempting to abduct a 9 year old female, “Ope” on her way to church”, it said.
Oyo Police Command added, ” preliminary investigations revealed that the girl was in the company of her mother, one Afolabi Modupe ‘F’ and other siblings when the  two suspects attempted seizing her from her Mother’s grip.” 
” The suspects who are now in Police custody were first taken for immediate medical attention.while investigations into the matter has immediately commenced. The Oyo state Commissioner of Police has appealed to the citizenry against taking laws into their hands with the assurances of a diligent and thorough investigation into the incident.”
